    we had a 3 course meal and I’d say it went about 2 hours before dancing. This includes the toasts, cake cutting, our first dance (not sure if you’re doing that but it was only 2 minutes so it doesn’t really effect the time) and the grand entrance.

    I think 2-3 hours should be good. I live in Japan and have been to weddings here and they do not involve dancing, and are usually earlier in the day with a full course lunch like yours. They finish in exactly 2.5 hours. It doesn’t feel too long or too rushed that way I think.

    I would say 3 hours is the perfect amount of time. 2 is too rushed depending on how many people will be there.
