I have been to some terrible weddings (in terms of food). This is why we picked a hotel for our reception which is known for their delicious food and not for producing mass amounts of chicken breast, covered in gravy (which is what is often the case for wedding I have attended)! Our tasting was AMAZING. The food was better than I could have imagined.

We are offering out guests 5 choices for the main course (beef, pork, salmon, chicken, veggie). That plus a soup for the appetizer and mini chocolate wedding cakes for dessert is running us $56/person (not including beverages) so it better be as good as it was at the tasting!!

We are having filet of beef with a bourbon glaze or pecan crusted chicken with a peach glaze served with shrimp n’ grits and mashed sweet potatoes.  The northerners coming to our wedding are very confused about the whole shrimp n’ grits thing-it’s amusing to me.  We’re paying a pretty penny too, and haven’t had our tasting yet, so gosh darn it better be good!  I’ve talked to brides with rave reviews of the food here, fingers crossed!
