Me and my Husband eloped in Vegas and on our one year anniversary we are renewing our vows. The one thing that is causing me the most stress is that my husband and I are big foodies. I am a Pastry Chef and he was a Cook for awhile. I want to suprise our family and friends with something a little different then the typical soul food menu but because I have such a small budget to feed 200 ppl I cant get too lavish, plus my family isnt as adventourous as us so I wanted to know what yall served at your receptions. Thanxs in advance bees because Im ready to give up and play it safe with the food. Oh yeah and it’s going to be Buffet Style

Maybe you could have appetizers, with a soul food flair? Like a cocktail party but with heavy app’s and dessert.

This is one of my favorite budget weddings. She executed her plan so well and really made the most of each dollar. Sounded like a great menu:

I agree with RR – that was one BUDGETING BRIDE! And her wedding pics are lovely 🙂
We have a serious budget and decide that instead of a sit down meal, we are going to do a Chipotle/Mexican food style bar with all the fixins’ – folks can choose to make burritos, taco salads with edible bowls or tacos. The bar with also feature mini hot tamales and salsa, guacamole, nacho cheese and chips. For the drinks we are having iced tea and non alcoholic sangria.
Our cost is $750 for 65 people.
