Ok, here is our dilemma.. We’re pretty tight on money and I do not want to ask my parents to cover it because they have helped so much already. We were going to have Darling Parade (a kind-of local band) play at our reception, but we can’t afford them though we would absolutely love it. They’d only be able to play for half the reception also so we’d still have to find something to fill in for the other half. We’re having an afternoon ceremony/reception with drinks, cake, and finder food/appetizers. Also, it seems like all the dj services around here are, for lack of better words, not very professional. Our reception is in a loft and has ipod hookup and a stereo system. Would it be too tacky to have a big playlist for the reception and let it cycle through? We have thousands of songs on it, and could always ask our guests to recommend a song on their invites so that we can make sure it plays. As for the ceremony music, my step-mother’s sister and her family will be playing – they are AMAZING.
