- Wedding: March 2011
We are ONE WEEK from the wedding and we are having an iPod reception with no dancing. Just dinner and visiting, toasts and cake. Believe me, with this crowd, they will be plenty entertained.
What we need is good music that people will love/sing along to if they hear it, but not be distracted by if they aren’t paying attention to it. Let me tell you, this is a struggle. Half the songs we like will be too loud/fast or too soft/dreamy, so a good balance is needed.
Here is the kind of things we have so far, please help add on!!
Processional: Bright Eyes – The First Day of My Life
Bridal Entrance: Life in Technicolor ii Cover from YouTube
Recessional: Stevie Wonder – Signed Sealed Delivered (subject to change?)
Bridal Party Entrance: TBD
Cake Cutting: The Zombies – This Will Be Our Year
Garter Toss: Marvin Gaye – Let’s Get It On TO BE INTERRUPTED after the first few notes.. and then Simon & Garfunkel – Mrs. Robinson (I’m older than he is 😉 )
Bouquet Toss: Not sure. Nothing modern, but not sure what yet.
Some of our general Reception Music:
Fleetwood Mac – You Make Loving Fun
Stevie Wonder – You Are the Sunshine of My Life
John Lennon – Stand by Me
James Taylor – Something in the Way She Moves
Ella Fitzgerald – Our Love Is Here to Stay
The Beach Boys – God Only Knows
Ben Harper – Steal My Kisses From You
