Any one here have an idea of correct etiquette for contemporary order of dances at reception; bride and groom, parents… bridal party? Nothing too traditional, like having bride’s mom dance with groom, and bride with groom’s dad. Short and sweet, but correct.
And when is it proper to have all guests join in for dancing?
after bride and groom, before parents’ dances, or after???

Bride & Groom dance is usually first. Then any other special dances before opening the dance floor up to everyone. That way you don’t have people dancing, then forced to stop and politely watch before starting to dance again.

- Wedding: March 2012 - Pelican Grand Beach Resort
There is no standard, and this is not the realm of etiquette, but my favorite order is:
- Bride and Groom have first dance immediately after grand entrance.
- (Optional) invite bridal party or all guests to join
- Optional: bridal party dance
