I had never heard of this until tonight. My FIs grandma asked if I was going to have them and I was clueless as to what they were. I have heard of ceremony programs and I am having those. She said that reception programs tell the guest what is going to happen and who is who…..
Did you do this?

@jesssamesssa: Are you sure she wasn’t confusing ceremony programs for reception programs?? I’ve never heard of those!! The only thing I’ve seen at a wedding reception is a menu. (This is my second wedding and I’ve been a BM 12 times)!

I’ve often seen something that I guess could fall under this category – a triangular paper stand, one side has table number, one side menu, one side order of events for reception.

@AirForceWife78: I asked her if that was what she meant and she said no it was at the reception and it had all the songs and the order of events and when things were going to happen. I guess IF i have the time Ill make one up but I dont even know what is going to go on!

No, don’t worry about having them. I have never seen them before at a wedding reception. The DJ will announce what is going to happen and he can also announce the wedding party (or they can just look at their ceremony program).
