We only rented plates from Sir Michael’s Party Rentals, but they’re a little far from Santa Monica.

Temescal is a little hard to get a hold of.  I think they called me back about 2-4 weeks later.  Maybe try one of the other parks and see if they can help you get in touch with them.

I believe the Santa Monica Women’s Club has a small room that can be rented in lieu of the big hall.

Would you consider a restaurant reception?  Our reception is at Beacon in Culver City for 50 people, and the price inclusive of food and alcohol falls within your budget.

Beacon would be FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Another idea for Santa Monica – what about the Victorian? I had a friend get there with approx. 50 people. I know there’s new management but not sure if they are still doing weddings.

You have a nice sized group and a working budget – you’ve got options.

Many restaurants have private rooms – check zagats -i believe their search engine allows you to search for private rooms. Cha Cha Cha in Silver Lake would be really fun too, just an idea ๐Ÿ™‚

@sfchick: Victorian does still do weddings. I almost had mine there in April. But I’m pretty sure it’s at least $100 per person for like a passed hors d’ouvres/limited alcohol type reception. I may have their menus saved on my home computer if anybody’s interested in their rates…
