I am doing just one long table for around 10 guests, since we are having a small destination wedding.
I bought 4 of the below candelabras from another bee, and they look great in person. My issue is since we are dining on an open patio (covered but open on all sides) I don’t think taper candles are going to work with the wind… So should I ditch them? Resell them and get candle holders that will be safe to light in the wind?
I am doing 2 different sized mint julip cups with flowers and was planning to put the candelabra’s in-between. I tried putting fake flowers in the candel holders but to me it looked really stupid…

They’re really beautiful, but if you’re worried about wind, you may want to try something else. I had 2 tall candelabras framing the alter during the wedding ceremony… indoors, mind you, and the draft from the A/C had the candles on one melted almost totally away after only 1 hour.

I would use fake candles if the wind is going to an issue. Real taper candles burn quicker than columns and the dripping wax could become a problem. The holders are gorgeous so use them!

I was going to say to ditch the candelabras because I thnk they’re too tall and I think the wind would send wax everywhere, but I like the holders the PP put up, so I think those could work, if you want to keep the candelabras.

I love the candelabras! I like the idea of using the votive holders in them! Do you know where these candelabras are from?

@Mrs_Harmer_to_be: I don’t know, I bought them off another bee. I am selling them! there are 4 of them, beautiful but I have decided to not go through the hassel of transporting them to the Dominican with me.
I bought them for $25 each plus shipping and will part with them for the same price.
Thanks for all of your input ladies, it would just be a lot of work for them to make it down there and then I would probably not use them!
