I posted almost 2 weeks ago as I tried to stage my reception tables, and I felt like I was missing something and many of you suggested that I need a pop of color. This is what I have…Silver table runner, Moraccan lantern on a lace doily, 2- laced wrapped votive candles, petals scattered now are NOT the petals that will be used. This will be on white table linen. Tables are 8 ft. long. I’m also going to have a picture frame with our dog for our table numbers, but I’m not sure if I should get a black frame to match the lantern or a silver frame to match the runner….do I need more color still? I’m definitely using baby’s breath, maybe another flower, like a peach carnation?

Are your tables round or rectangular? I think everything you have is good but I’d cluster it together in the center. I’d also use a smaller black frame like a 4×6 landscape, I don’t think the frame should be the biggest tallest thing.

I agree, I think the picture frame is too big and takes over the latern.

Instead of a frame what about one of those clip things you stick the picture in? And more candles. I have rectangular tables to and I find it way harder to design but I really prefer it to round ones.

That would be a good alternative!

I would use two vases for the flowers and more votives. From the center out you would have lantern, votive, table number (smaller frame), vase of flowers, votive.
Perhaps raise the lantern on a wood slab or a stck of books to give some interest and height variation.

Can you attach the picture to the Moroccan lantern, then add a second vase of flowers? That way the table could be even. Also, I would find a wider flower vase and put mor flowers in. And maybe some votives? If your venue allows them.
Such a great idea, though! They’re going to be beautiful!
