We’re having a backyard wedding and the in laws were able to get a bunch of tables and chairs for us. I don’t know what type of table cover would be the best. Fiancé doesn’t want it to seem like a little kids birthday party with plastic covers and I don’t want to spend a lot on the tables considering we will have kids there and they may or may not create messes. Do you guys have any ideas of what we should do and possible places to get it for cheap?

Are the tables round or rectangular?
Rolls of brown kraft paper are inexpensive. You can draw on the place settings.
You can even out out packs of crayons for the kids to color.

They will be rectangular. I am actually really in love with this idea!

If the surface of the tables is good, you could also skip tablecloths and use paper placemats. They come in packages and tear off just like writing paper.
you could also use large paper doilies as charger plates, on the table or on top of the kraft paper
