Are you providing transportation to and from your reception venue from the hotel so people dont have to worry about driving/drinking etc. It seems to be pretty pricey but I think its a nice gesture just afraid people wont utilize it and then it will go to waste?!?! thoughts?

We are renting a limo that will be used as a shuttle for all hotel guests. Our venue is less than a mile from the hotel so the limo company had no problem with that. Also, we’re having an open bar so I want to make sure people get back safely.

We are having a shuttle from the hotel(s) to our rehearsal dinner and for the actual wedding, our venue is arranging for shuttle service throughout the evening from our venue back to the hotel(s). I think its really important and necessary if you have out of town guests and your venue and hotel are not one and the same (or not within a block or two of each other).

We got a shuttle (rented a local school bus for much cheaper than other companies), but unfortuantely it was *very* underutilized even though we had a lot of out-of-town guests. In hindsight, it was probably a waste of money, but oh well — it at least served to transport the wedding party back to the hotel. 🙂 Plus about 6 other people. 😛 I’ve been to weddings before, though, where the shuttle was *hghly* utilized. So, it might be a good idea to get a feel for how many people will actually take it or not… We just guessed wrong.

If we book at least 15 rooms at the hotel, they will provide a shuttle for free for all guests to and from our venue so I am really hoping that we have enough people staying overnight! Not sure if we’ll rent something if we don’t meet the minimum though.

No alcohol at our reception, so we’re not providing transportation for anyone.

Yes -we’re chartering a yellow school bus for the evening (but the cost cancels out because we are using it too – no limos or anything)
I’d honestly rather it be used by only 3 or 4 people than have anyone driving back to the hotel after drinking too much…

Most of our guests are from out of town and staying at the hotel near ceremony. Reception is about 10 miles away. They will all need rental cars for long weekend just for this one transport, so we’re providing a shuttle so they can all save on rental cars. I know this has a made a difference in attendance for some as the car rental would’ve made the whole trip a little too pricy. They are already sharing rooms, etc.

We are lucky because our hotel is doing a shuttle for free for the the guests who stay there. I’m hoping a lot of guest will utilize it just for that fact!

we ended up renting a charter bus from a local company near our venue. After looking into coach and more commercialized brands and comparting that price to what a limo company was going to charge to a small charter to make mulitple trips, we feel we got a good deal using a more local company. It was still a little more than I had priced to spend, but hoping it will be worth it for our guest. and us as we plan to ride it back with everyone to the hotel after the reception. ..going to have the photographer take a picture of everyone on it afterward..hopefully that will come out cute!

We are getting married in Vegas so I want to make sure my guest don’t have to walk or get a taxi. We are getting a shuttle and picking up at two stops on the strip. We plan to take everyone to the ceremony then to the Welcome sign for group photo then the reception. After that they are on they own, since we are having the reception in a hotel suite and we don’t have a cut off time.
