@shytowngirl:  Why did you veto Vegas? There are many beautiful places to get married–they arent all “drive thru wedding chapel”. It’s usually a cheap destination for most people to fly to  and people can find a hotel in their price range. I would at least research the idea.

We had our honeymoon and legal wedding in Vegas and really enjoyed it. And we had relatives from Japan who were really hoping we would have it in Vegas.

@shytowngirl:  Banff Alberta, or, even better, the nearby Lake Louise.

San Francisco – Just plain pretty.

New York City – nuff said.

Atlanta or Chicago – cheap to fly into, both great cities.

Boston – beautiful pre-19th century architecture.

Disneyland, if you want to be funny.

What are some interests you share?  Maybe something related to that.  For example, if you both were big baseball fans, you could do Cooperstown, NY.

How about Dominican Republic?

Fiance and I are in a similar situation so we did some research b4 picking a location..  We ended uwe choosing to have the wedding where we live, Washington, DC, since there are tons of sights and it is easier for us!

I think one issue you’ll run in to is budget.  Cities that are easily accessible w/lots to do and see will likely be expensive. You may want to consider upping your budget or decreasing the guest lIst.

That said, I recommend Vegas and Orlando.  Lots of options and your guests will love to visit!

@shytowngirl:  If you like American history may I suggest Philadelphia? Tons of cool tourist stuff for your guests but not a super typical desination wedding place.

@shytowngirl:  So glad i could help. I’m so excited for you. Vegas is a fun town and you (and your guests) will have a great time. The bonus of having a wedding or honeymoon in Vegas is that it’s on TV and movies a lot. So you will get little reminders all the time of your trip.

Have fun and Good Luck!
