I can’t seem to find a venue for my wedding reception (banquet hall/ballroom or any event venue…except hotels). I need something anywhere in the DFW metroplex.
Please help me guys.
Thanks

I did mine at The Atrium at the Granville Arts Center and everyone loved it.
I hear good things about Avanti Fountain Place, Starlight Room, and Hickory Street Annex.
if you go to the Convention and Visitor Bureau websites they will often list event venues.

Dallas: http://www.visitdallas.com/plan_a_meeting/facilitiesvenues/
check smaller cities as well – McKinney has some nice venues that are not well known.

The Summit Ballrooms is beautiful and very affordable for up to 350 people.
I got married at the Fort Worth Club (not the City Club of Fort Worth) and it was perfect.
Does anyone know of any reception halls in the Plano/Allen/McKinney area that allow offsite catering?
I know that the Heard Museum & Chestnut Square in McKinney allow off-site catering. I’m also pretty sure that the Surrey House in McKinney allows off-site caterers.
@wedding diva I saw your advice and was gonna check it out and was surprised when I found this article!! (It’s pretty recent, too, dated 2/11/09) Just FYI to DFW brides – do NOT go to Summit Ballroom!!
McKinney:
McKinney Cotton Mill
Myers Park
Other areas:
Three Three Three First Avenue
2616 Commerce
Special Day Events (Ballroom)
Old Red Courthouse
7 Senses (7senses.biz)
Colleyville Center
Almost any museum in the Dallas area
Sooooo many others–look up catering websites and see what venues they recommend
