my guy has a huge family — love ’em, but when you start adding friends to the list, we have outgrown many of the unique venues in the Milwaukee area.
hoping you guys have some ideas for:
-venue where we can have both ceremony and reception (but doesn’t have to be)
-unique or off the beaten path if possible
-less expensive than the Grain Exchange (amazing venue!)
* fall or spring wedding, need coverage, can’t be outdoor only
any help is much appreciated!

I have no input because I am planning this wedding long distance and I don’t know the area well enough but I wanted to see what other people said. Currently we are in the church gym and I’m considering looking for a prettier location.

I don’t know if you are open to looking at surrounding areas, but Wales has the Legned at Brandybrook, which is amazing! I’m not sure if you have looked at hotels, but that might be a good option…
Pfister (might be $$)
Harley Museam (actually really cool inside!)

@HnyBee: thanks for ideas! we are actually very interested in the HD museum — we’ll see if we can afford it. 🙂

Country Springs in Pewaukee (very popular … I have attended community fund raisers here)
Italian Community Center Downtown (Been ages since I have been here, very large)
Polish Center of Wisconsin in Franklin (Nice facility been to fund raisers there)
1451 Renaissance Place (large and NO preferred vendors) East Side by Lake Michigan
The Kettle Moraine Ranch in Eagle ( I know nothing but what I have read about this)
@jessjess …. The Kettle Moraine Ranch is not horribly far from Big Bend
