Hi! I am looking for a reception venue in the Kent Island/Queenstown/Easton area that can accomodate approx. 120 guests and is very affordable. We loved the Tidewater Inn but the venue fee is $3,750 for an October wedding and $110 minimum per person. Too high for our $20,000 budget wedding 🙁
Any ideas or recomendations are greatly appreciated!

@kjrose2000: I believe there are upcoming bridal shows in Baltimore. Good to always get infomation on venues, and see if they are offering and deals. I went to one of their shows last spring. http://www.weddingexperience.com/
http://events-sugarhouse.com/ I found this venue, but I couldn’t find any info on rental fees. I am not as familiar with that side of the bridge, I would check out if there are any parks with historic buildings that you can rent out?

The shore is pricey, especially in October. You can try the Kent Manor Inn. If I remember correctly from our search, they were slightly less expensive than the Tidewater. With that budget, your best bet may be to steer clear of typical venue types. If you are willing to consider something more rustic, there is a big hall on the grounds of Wye Island NRMA that is very affordable. The scenery there at that time of year is stunning. You can also check out museums for potentially less expensive venues.

@lovekiss: Thanks, I have reached out to Kent Manor Inn. We have done their brunch and the food is great. I am familiar with the Wye Island park pavillion and your right, its a bit too rustic for a wedding in my opinion. My fiance’s family has a house on the Wye and we are open to hosting the reception there… but I heard it can be just as expensive to have everything brought in (tents, caterers, etc.) as it is to book at a venue. Anyone have any experience on that?
