I agree with those that say chair covers are outdated and just too gawdy.  I think your chairs look just fine the way they are!! 🙂

Our venue has nice leather and metal chairs.

Us too…we just used the nice leather chairs the venue has.  As mentioned before it was a reason we chose the place!  We loved the modern woodsy vibe to the venue.

This isnt our wedding (waiting on June 2013 to get here!) but these are pictures from where our reception will be with their goldish chairs…  I dont think they are too bad.  I originally thought that I would rent chairs… but I think I would rather use that money elsewhere!

These are the chairs our venue offers (not my wedding).  I’m debating adding organza chair sashes…

@missrobots:  the chairs at our venue look exactly like that, and i just couldnt justify spending a ton of money to cover them. if someone cares about chairs then they dont belong there…

@abbyful. Our venue gave us a decor credit, so technically, we could have gotten the chiavaris for free, but they were so uncomfortable.  The backs on them are straight up and down (almost felt like they were angled forward) with no padding (our venue has a thin seat pad on them). The chairs we’re using aren’t super attractive, but they’re padded on the seat and back and pretty comfortable. I don’t like chair covers/bows and don’t need another project, so they’re fine as-is.

My chairs were ugly green at my wedding. I didn’t want to pay for chair covers either so I just left it! I don’t think it was a big deal because I used nice table cloths and decorations and the chairs weren’t that noticable.

hello bees, i recently got married in march and i had the same dilemma with the chaviari chairs but they are just so expensive, i ended up using the garden chairs and decorated them with sashes, they looked really elegant

We had white plastic folding chairs with a padded seat. They looked nice and were comfy.

I’m not having chair covers or renting fancy chairs. I don’t have pics yet though.

@michiru4ever:  they do look really nice, its all about your creativity, i really dont think a chair can define how formal your event should be
