My fiance suggested we use “Why don’t we do it in the road” by the Beatles – haha

We have a pianist – so I’m submitting these to her to see what she can do. They’re kinda NOT very ‘cool kid’…but for some reason on the piano they’re much more fun.

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Hall & Oates – You Make My Dreams Come True

The Beatles – Wouldn’t It Be Nice

U2 – Beautiful Day

Jens Lekman sounds great on acoustic guitar! If they can find the sheet music, “Into Eternity” is really awesome.

Some of it is not as upbeat, sorry. hahaha. Perhaps live they can make it happier??

Jens Lekman – Into Eternity

Neko Case – This Tornado Loves You

Tired Pony – Get On The Road

Walk the Moon – Shiver Shiver

The Smiths – Ask – 2011 Remastered Version

Islands – Tender Torture

The Flaming Lips – Do You Realize??

Death Cab for Cutie – I Will Follow You into the Dark (kind of morbid but I’m all for angsty ridden affection, haha)

Bon Iver – For Emma

Bob Dylan – If Not For You

The Black Keys – Howlin’ For You

@Crazyhair:

We’re doing Home by Edward Sharpe and we also have an acoustic guitar + piano as our ceremony musicians. Haven’t even bothered to consider whether it’s overdone or not since we love it so much and it was one of our very first concerts together! πŸ™‚

Good friends of mine used the Beatles, “When I’m Sixty-Four.” It was absolutely adorable!

@Crazyhair:  a friend of mine walked out to “I do I do I do” by Abba πŸ™‚ Not sure how that would sound on guitar though!

@Crazyhair:  I also love Elliott Smith, and we love a lot of music that isn’t wedding appropriate. We used a lot of Vitamin String Quartet remixes to make us happy and still have a respectable-sounding wedding.

We did an instrumental version of Welcome to the Jungle by Guns ‘n Roses for our recessional– I think it would translate to an acoustic guitar- and likely give a few of your guests a giggle.
