what about craft shops or paper shops???  ive found receipe cards with alot of design work a pita because they dont leave enough room to write things down

You can get pretty note cards and recipe cards in different colours at Staples

If you want totally customized ones and can wait for them to ship, VistaPrint postcards could be your new best friend- you can do them a few different ways (monogram or image on the glossy side, lines on the matte side for guests to write on maybe?)

I did some there to go with my cookie cutter wedding favors, and with shipping they were only about $6.  Highly recommend!  Here’s my blog posting on the topic (http://www.theoneny.com/blog/2009/a-way-to-say-thanks/) which has a picture of my finished product too.

Could you make them? You can find some cute images from istockphoto and create blanks for the ingredients, steps, prep time, nutritional info, etc. Then print them on cardstock. Voila! If not, I’ve actually found cute ones at Barnes and Noble a while back.
