snap to the chin acne, what is up with that??
I recommend Mac studio fix fluid foundation. It can be quite heavy but if you apply it with a “skunk” brush it can give a light coverage.
I also apply Benefit Boi-ing concealer to problem areas.

Oh, I forgot…the MUA did use a bit of MAC – Mineralize Foundation (Loose) in Medium Plus on me. I had to look it up because I forgot the name of it. I had her use a TINY bit because again…..I’m super paraoind about the cake effect. But applied lightly and sparingly, this seemed to be ok. This product doesn’t seem to get great reviews so I wouldn’t bother with it. Mostly I relied on LM loose powder to set everything.

Clinique Acne Solutions foundation has changed my life! It stays all day, doesn’t get cakey or shinny & helps clear my skin!!!

I used to like MAC’s Studio Tech for foundation, because I have combination skin…some dry spots, some oily. Right now, I’ve been using Revlon’s Colorstay Liquid foundation for combination skin and it’s pretty good. I would recommend using a light primer on your skin under your foundation and either an eyeshadow base or primer for your lids. I think they make a big difference with how your makeup stays on throughout the day. As far as concealer, I am using Hard Candy’s Glamoflauge and I like it. There are a few women I know that swear by Benefit’s Erase Paste for concealer, though I have not tried it yet.

I use the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra. It claims to be a “14-hour ultra-resistant makeup with divine comfort. retouch-free, oil-free foundation features innovative highly resistant pigments for 14-hour wear…” honestly, I feel like I dont have any makeup on. Never had on for 14 hours but it does last a working day.
I have really oily skin so I just use a light neutrogena moisturizer and smashbox oilfree primer. Then the lancome. You can even use the foundation as a concealer if you’d like.. Then you want to set it with a light powder for more lasting power. I use the mac careblend, just very light. I’m a makeup artist, and I honestly am not a huge fan of mac products for daily usage if you’re acne prone like myself.. With the exception of the careblend and face&body. Had a bad reaction from their foundation and a year later my face has just gotten back to normal..lol. Hope this helps! =D

I love Napoleon’s China Doll too! (I work in a store in Australia where we sell it!) Depending on Skin type- it may have to be worked into the skin but it will give georgous results! Photographs really well too.
Two others I have found work well for me (I have normal- dry skin) are Bobbi Brown’s anything really (I like their BB Cream) or Foundation Stick for Photography (NO SPF) or for Drugstore Brands I haven’t found one yet that tops L’Oreal’s True Match.
Good Luck !

@AnneTossy: Use a foundation brush so the liquid is applied in a thin layer, it won’t look cakEy. I use Lancôme 24hr long wear. It’s my favorite. Ive used Dior and Chanel both for years and recently switched to the Lancôme. It truly stays on all day.
You need to set liquid foundation with powder. I use Cargo’s HD powder. Itphotographs very well, since it’s HD. The powder should be applied with a fluffy powder brush, which will also then not look Cakey.
I have oily skin and am prone to break outs.

That’s what I use! 😉 by Lancôme, I just couldn’t remember the actual type.

I live in australia and the palce I live in gets so damn hot in summer that my make up just slides off my face!!! I’ve tried lots of mineral make up brands but the one that gives me the most coverage and doesn’t cause breakouts is the brand
Nude by Nature
I have been using their mineral foundation and also all their other mineral cosmetic products for two years. My skin looks great…it doesn’t sweat off and I don’t get break outs or rashes anymore.
It is an australian makeup brand but you shouldn’t have a probelm getting it shippped.
Best ever and highly recommended!!

LOVE Nude by Nature! Do you use their skincare range too/ the newer liquid foundation or just the mineral powder?
The only thing I have found is the small shade range.
I use the mineral powder….it does have a limited range in colours. I buy a darker shade and a lighter shade of the foundation. I use the darker shade straight up in summer (when i’m tanned) and i mix the lighter shade with the darker shade in winter.
I like the natural eyeshadow colours they have, as I always wear a brighter lip….love the consistency of their gloss though!!!
I dont use their skincare…I use nivea and oil of morocco as my skin tends to be dry.
What do you use in their range???

I’ve been using Bare Minerals new BareEssentials Ready spf 20 foundation and its been wonderful! all the benefits of Bare Minerals but in a wonderful compact and it lasts all day!! Highly recommend it for acne. Pretty affordable compared to high end make up (nars, ysl, chanel) but even better IMO.

I do love the mineral powder but find the iightest shade a tad too dark for me. I think their brushes are some of the best I have ever used (I use them to buff Liquid foundation into the skin all the time). The glosses are pretty. I like their oil as well- it is kind of like Bio Oil.
Their liquid foundation is quite nice as well. They have just released a BB cream that I am keen to try out as well.

I have used sheer cover for the past 4 years and love it, and it photographs really well and looked great in my engagement photos.
In saying that i am changing to nude by nature which i tested and found to be even better.
