Estée Lauder double wear powder all the way, I am ways getting compliments on a flawless complexion and people asking what I use. My skin certainly doesn’t look flawless without it!!

I am a huge fan of MAC Studio Fix.  It has good coverage, is foundation and powder in one, set matte, lasts all day, and doesn’t slide off my oily skin!

When I am having a bad skin day I like to “prep” my skin by spraying Skindinavia on my face in the formula for oily skin. I like doing this better than using primer, because it keeps my face feeling light and fresh. My go-to foundation for bad skin days is Revlon Colorstay, my concealer for acne/blemishes is Nars stick concealer, and my powder is MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural. Once I have finished applying all my skin makeup I spray some more Skindinavia (more generously the second time though).

@Emily_Louise_C:  I use Estee Lauder Destination Wedding, but the liquid kind. I love it!! Best foundation ever.

@AnneTossy:  Like I stated above, I use Estee Lauder Double Wear (liquid). I used to have really bad acne, but now only get a few breakouts. I still have discolored/scarred skin so I need a foundation that really covers. EL Destination Wedding covers great, doesn’t feel heavy or look cakey, and seriously lasts all day! I use a Real Techiques “stippling” brush to apply it. A little goes a long way with this foundation so it lasts a long time too.

@tanbarr:  I really love BB foundations also.  The foundation stick has great buildable coverage and feels great on.  Primer helps with oily skin, and I think Smashbox makes a “makeup fixer” also, which is a spray that you apply after you’re done with your make up and it’s supposed to not budge at all.

I use cover FX foundation and primer… they have it at sephora and it’s AMAZING.  I have super sensitive skin and it’s the only thing that doesn’t bother it.  They have three different coverage options and they have TONS of shades.  I use the full coverage because I have acne scarring and it covers it perfectly.  I just reapply in problem spots at lunch time and it looks great all day.  I seriously think I’ll use it forever.  it makes a huge difference.

I sooo feel your pain. I have oily skin on my problem areas no matter WHAT I use, and it took me forever to find a routine that worked for me.

Two words: Urban Decay

I use a combination of their complexion primer potion ($31), naked skin liquid foundation ($38), surreal creamy concealer ($8) and finally, the cherry on top: All Nighter Make-up Setting Spray ($18).

Yes, it’s a bit steep, but it’s the only thing that lasts my whole workday, plus a couple hours.

Also, I should add because of the price, I don’t necessarily use all four products every day. On better days, I can get away with just using concealer and the setting spray. =)

I swear by Revlon Colorstay. Lasts all day and covers amazingly, plus their color selection is decent for a drugstore brand. It can look cakey if applied wrong but once you figure out how to work with it it looks amazing and natural. I apply with a dampened wedge sponge in small sections using a stippling motion (it dries quickly). The formulations (whipped, normal/dry, and oily/combo) are quite different so if you don’t like one, you may find you like another. I personally like the dry formulation because it lasts longer than the whipped on my oily skin and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all. The oily version is really nice but I use prescription skin medication and it makes my skin really sensitive.
