Our photographer, Charley Bandes graduated from RISD and does art photography as well as wedding photography. I went to his open studio a couple of weeks ago and he had some really nice nudes. Not that you’d want to be totally naked or anything, but I know he’s a very sensitive and talented person. I’ve seen some nude pregnancy portraits of his as well and they are beautiful. His prices are very reasonable as well. http://www.bandesphoto.com

Haven’t done it yet, but plan to use Melissa Robotti.  I have also heard good things about Rachel from http://www.mergeweddings.com/ , but she is very expensive.

I just had a session with Tess from seaglass photo.

She is located in Portland ME-but I live in Boston and it only took me 2 hours to get there. She is very reasonable-and I had an absolute blast!

Her website is

good luck!

Hi, Jessica Fineran does boudoir photography (in addition to wedding photography).  She actually just shot our engagement pics, and they were great!  She’s very talented and reasonably priced.  Her website is http://www.jfineranphotography.com/

I’ve had a lot of fun doing boudoir recently, and it all started from a conversation I had on this forum! Here’s a link to some photos- if you’re interested I do individual sessions and am planning a day-long group of mini sessions at a Boston hotel in January, which is a more cost-effective option. All sessions include a makeup artist and 2 5x7s, plus an album credit 🙂

I just wanted to 2nd the recommendation for Rachel at Merge Weddings! I’ve shot with her 2x actually – once for boudoir (I didn’t write about this), and once for her Juxtaposition project (Trash the Dress shoot). Both times she was absolutely fabulous! My boudoir experience was the first time I shot with her, and she really makes you feel really comfortable. It really felt like I was doing the shoot for me (boudoir surprisingly gave me a really nice self-esteem boost!) more than for Mr. Toucan (who LOVED the results, btw). If you have any other questions, PM me, I’d be happy to try to help.

Good Luck!

~Mrs. Toucan

OOH, OOH!

The awesome photog who took my b-pics, Kate McElwee, has just relocated there from Seattle! She’s brought her skills to the Eastern seaboard and is now offering Boston boudoir, engagement, and wedding photography, and lots more! I had a great time at our shoot and the photos were really phenomenal. She has an amazing personality and sense of humor that made me feel entirely at ease.

Make sure you check out the post I wrote showing some of my (tamer, still not worksafe) photos: http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/11/13/boudoir-photos-2/

And visit Kate’s blog to see LOTS more samples in the “boudoir” category… including more of my own. (FYI- avert your eyes if you are terrified of naked Cherry Pie)

Here’s a link to her boudoir blog category for beaucoup b-pics: http://katemcelweeblog.com/category/boudoir/

Enjoy!

Third for Rachel! She’s so super-sweet and really laid back. I’m working with her to plan a “pin-up party” as a bachelorette party! I worked as her assistant for a little while earlier this year (I was laid off for a bit and wanted to do something wedding-oriented and totally NOT what I had been doing) and loved every minute of it!

I don’t want you all to read it as a sales pitch (since I did work for her, I can see why you might), but I really, truly believe she’s a talented photog. I’ve been anxious to get our pinup party underway and can’t wait to book a private session for myself somewhere down the line.

If you have any questions, you can check out her blog: http://mergeweddings.com or PM me… I’d love to chat!

I recently had an AMAZING experience with Studio Nouveau, wedding photographers who also do boudoir photography.  Lara and Kate are incredibly easy going, amazingly complimentary and they totally get you to relax and make you feel awesome about yourself while the shoot is going on.  Plus, the images are fantastic and have been a big hit ::ahem:: with everyone I’ve shared them with.  Seriously, the quality of the work is amazing.  I can’t say the word “amazing” enough when describing them, apparently.  Go to http://www.thestudionouveau.com/.  Now.  Seriously.

What a great discussion!  I did a boudoir photo shoot with evangeline lane photography in Boston before my wedding last year.  She made me incredibly comfortable, relaxed, and I was stunned when I saw the images.  They were amazing!!  I actually just booked her for an expecting shoot since, well, I’m preggers!!

Defiantly check her out, she rocks!  http://www.evangelinelanephotography.com
