I’m using Sage Catering.  They’re based out of Berwyn but I know they’ve worked in Center City many, many times.  We haven’t actually had the wedding yet, but we did our tasting and I think they’re fantastic!  They custom-create every menu from their master list and whatever other suggestions the bride and groom have (for example, we’re having two dishes on the menu that are traditional in my FI’s native country), and they worked with me on getting what I wanted at a price we could afford.

The website is http://www.sage99event.com.

I highly recommend Toscana Catering. They’re based in Wilmington, so you don’t get the outrageous Center City prices, but they will happily travel to PA. You can see my vendor review of them here: http://sites.google.com/site/geekchicbride/vendor-reviews.

I was really surprised to meet the head chef of all of their restaurants and their catering outlet at our wedding! Turns out he was cooking for us that night. =)

I’m using Jimmy Duffy Caterers and they’ve been fabulous to work with.  Everything I tasted while choosing the menu was incredible and the level of service is impressive.

Definitely check out Peter Callahan and Starr.  Another one to check out is The Frog Commissary.  I’ve attended events catered by each one and they all have amazing food.

I love my caterer – Feastivities. You can really customize your wedding. We didn’t have a big budget but we are getting GREAT (really really great and we love food) food for a great price (less than $100 per person for 8 apps, 2 entrees, 2 side dishes, coffee bar, bar mixers, all tax and servers)!

Hi,

I love Drake’s catering- they are really classy and a great company.  Based out of Chestnut Hill and very familiar with the "historic building" scene and constraints.

Good luck!

Fleur De Lys catering — http://www.fdlcatering.com.  I could gush on and on about how much I love Laurent Leveque (the founder and chef)…and will be doing so in a future post.  But if you want to PM for more info sooner, feel free!
