Darling Husband was supposed to officiate a wedding in December and we just realized we will be out of the country during this time. Does anyone have any recommendations for Dallas area officiants (non-religious) who may be available at short notice? I feel terrible that we are creating a last-minute decision for them and would like to help with suggestions.

Dr. Lon Roberts was our officiant and he was great! And I’ve run into him at many weddings since then!.

Have you tried LoveNotes? That’s who we are using. Their website is lovenotesweddings.com.

Love Notes is great, I’ve known lots of people that used them.
We used http://www.altweddingservices.com/ – Ari wrote our ceremony that my husband’s brother performed for us. I think there are mulitple officiants, most non-religious that they contract with.

Justice of the Peace!
These two specifically list that they do them outside the courthouse, but I’m sure others do too, and no, you don’t need to live in their precinct. It may also be worth checking other counties nearby as well.

We used Peter Andrews from Andrews Wedding cermeonies, and he was AWESOME!!!! All of our family/guests loved him and he is superprofessional and very easy to work with. He also offers a variety of ceremony types–from the religious to the total non-religious/civil and everything in between.
We loved him.

Thanks, everyone, this is so helpful! I will pass these recommendations on for them. I hope one of them works out for our friends!
