Personally, I am partial to gold, but that’s just my preference since platinum is out of the question. hehe.  White gold can be redipped when the white starts to turn a bit if your want your band to match your ering (if your ring is white gold, i say that since the majority are).  The kicker is gold can be resized.  Tungsten, titanium, stainless steel all come in one size and thats it.  So as you age your size may change and it cannot be adjusted.  You would need new rings.  I work with a man who got married when he was a tech.  They said their vows with gold bands and his wife bought him a stainless steel one to wear at work and he wore the gold one everywhere else and now since he is no longer a tech.

Palladium is a lot like platinum, though I am not sure how, this is just what I have been told.  I believe it may be just as soft though.
