When I bought my dress I was told that I should try a specialty lingerie shop to find a bustier that would work for me because I am an off size (32 Dirty Delete to DDD). I went to the recommended shop a week ago (the only one I can find in this city!) and they said that the bustiers they carry aren’t even made in this size. They said I should order online, but I am not sure which site to try. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good place to order a bustier online? I saw that David’s Bridal carries them in a 32 Dirty Delete, but when I went in to try it on they said that they don’t carry that size in stores and I would have to order it to find out if it would work. 🙁

I have a similar size (although not a DDD) and have had similar issues finding lingerie, particularly since my dress is tricky as well. In the past, however, I have had good results buying from herroom.com. Linked below is one item that might work for you…there are other possibilities as well.

mine isn’t quite as hard to find, but I needed a 34Dirty Delete, and my store in Austin had more than one in stock, including a super cute eyelet one I ended up buying!
Also, there is a specialty store in FL that I have ordered swimsuits from (oddly enough, at one point I was a 32 or 34 F for swimsuits), that also has lingerie, so I could also give you that info if you want to PM me.
http://www.barenecessities.com has some 32Dirty Delete & E but not DDD..since you sound “skinny”, have you thought about having a bra sewn into your dress rather than a boustier?

I’m going to order one from Herroom.com too. My seamstress recommended this site too!
The Goddess Lace Longline seems to be the best for larger sized chests!(from ratings I read).

there’s a store in nyc that’s very popular, bra tenders, which has a website (bratenders.com). however, i’m not sure if their website carries their full range of products, you may want to try giving them a call to see if they have anything.

also, i took a quick look at figleaves.com and it seems they have your size, although i didn’t look for a bustier in particular. good luck!

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I will definitely be checking these sites out.
@ cannotwait: hahah, I am definitely not skinny. I am just freakishly shaped with a teeny rib cage and waist and big boobies that match my extra wide, child-birthin’ hips, thunder thighs and gut. So I wish that sewing cups into my dress was an option, but they might flop out and kill somebody, so I am probably better off with a bustier. Plus, they help my posture. Oh yes, and I am completely lopsided so one side is a DD and the other is a DDD, which is another complication that it making this task so difficult.

girl, I understand…mine are a little lopsided too! When I got married I was a street size 12 but wearing 34s, which surprised ppl, considering I’m also 5’10”! at one point I was a 32, and no one would believe me, but it’s just that part of my ribs is small, lol

That is just like me! I am a 5’9″ and size 10 to 12 and my mom and my sister did not believe I was measured as a 32. I was like, really? Is it that unbelieveable? I have been wearing 34 or 36 size bras and that explains why they never fit quite right…

rachel, that is the same as me…at one point I even thought I was a 38C, um, NO…so, now that I know we have such similar figures, I’ll try to remember when I get home..to check which ones I got…it really was pretty (prettier than the ones I’ve seen abve) and it wasn’t uncomfortable, so I”ll see what brand it was…though, I doubt anyone still has it, but maybe my store would have it in stock…they keep a lot in the store.

First, you should go to Nordstrom and confirm your size. A crazy amount of women are in the wrong size bra!
A great place to get bras is http://www.laurensilva.com
