I’ve bought several things from ebay and etsy (ring dish, Bridesmaid or Best Man clutches, bride and groom chair signs, etc) and haven’t been burned yet. I look at is the seller’s return policy, the feedback and I only pay thru PayPal or with a credit card so you can dispute the charges if you need to return the item because you’re not happy with it.

This is the veil that I ordered. I don’t have actual pics by it’s very soft and flowy – well worth the money.

I haven’t bought jewelry yet….that’s next on my list:)

If you’re looking for a garter at a reasonable price, the shop hellodesigncrew has a huge selection of cheap ones that can be customized to your liking very easily! The shop owner is great and easy to work with.

I’ve bought many things on Etsy… My veil was from BridalAmbience. They have really good prices and the quality is just beautiful! Just be sure to order well in advance.

All of my jewelry and my hair comb was from AuroraBridal on Etsy. The lady, Rachel was amazing and so accomodating. Everything I’ve bought from there is just gorgeous and so well made. I’m also having my bridesmaids jewelry from there too as I got a discount for buying it all together.

My garter was from Woomi Pyo on Etsy (below) and it is SO pretty and delicate in real life. I can’t fault them either, they were excellent!

Hope that helps! I think buying online is fine. You have Paypal protection in case anything goes wrong and I haven’t had any problems so far. Just check out their feedback too and send a message to suss them out first if you’re worried.

My hairpiece was from OhFaro and my bracelet was from KDBridal, both on Etsy. I had great experiences with both and loved the pieces that I purchased. I don’t have a good close-up of the bracelet yet, but here is my hair piece.

I got my jewelery from somethingjeweled and it was absolutely gorgeous! She was such a sweetheart to work with, too. I totally recommend her shop!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Marilyn of TheRedMagnolia. She made my birdcage veil and hair flower, and did a rush job. Fair prices and shipping, and very communicative. I had an elbow-length veil, but I changed my mind at the last minute (like 2 weeks before our wedding), and contacted her on a Friday, and she made and shipped them the following Monday. I really can’t say enough good things about her.

I also got my earrings from etsy, but it looks like the shop has since closed.

Can’t even begin to count how many purchases I’ve made from Etsy over the years, (probably too many! 🙂 But I can’t say enough great things about many of the sellers and their work.  And I’ve used it for a great number of my wedding related purchases, my favotite seller below!

So since my wedding isn’t for a little while, I went ahead and bought my mom an early gift for the wedding – a little flair for her dress and I love the sash so much, I might order one for myself too! Her dress needed some bling, but not rhinestone bling like you’d find on most wedding dresses.  This was more than perfect!

Etsy Seller is – SparkleSM   – http://www.sparklesm.etsy.com and absolutely love this sash!!!  Totally unique and wearable after the wedding.

I bought my sash from Kirsten Kuehn Designs

it’s the Cameron style, SO beautiful in person and she was very helpful when I didn’t know what would look best with my dress. **my sash is gold, not silver like the photo below**

I kind of want to order this one as well for the reception..

I bought my earrings from Le Petit Ruban – also prettier in person!

Overall, I’m very happy with my experience on Etsy ! Good luck 🙂

I bought my wedding jewelry from AuroraJewelryBox:

They are swarovski crystals and pearls and I got both in white.  They turned out beautiful!
