So I made the mistake of buying a dress off of a random website because my normal reputable website didn’t have my size in stock. I googled reviews on the website and didn’t find anything super awful, so I went ahead and purchased. When the charged showed up as like Fashion Pay Hongyau or something I was like “crap…” and found that there was another domain that the website uses. I google searched reviews on that and found that they’re likely some random “company” in China selling fakes. I have not received the product yet but my card has been charged. If that dress gets here and it is indeed fake and not to my liking (if it’s fake but I still like it, I might just live with having paid what I did for it), do I have any recourse? Can I file any complaints with my credit card saying I was sold a fake product and I refuse to pay? I didn’t pay through paypal, so I don’t have their complaint system to fall back on. I’m usually pretty savvy about online shopping, but I dropped the ball on this one. Any advice is appreciated!
