MrsRedplate: Thank you so much for your kind words and advice! We’ve been through so many ups and downs in our journey thus far and I am really feeling confident we’re finally getting a good grasp at what’s wrong and a game plan going forward. My doctor has definitely identified I have not just low progesterone, but nearly no progesterone being produced. The plan is to check CD21 non-pregnant progesterone levels my next cycle to confirm, but my doctor has already prescribed me with progesterone pills to start taking the next day I ovulate (through frist trimester if we get BFP, as well as letrozole (like clomid) this next cycle CD3-7.
All the results from my blood panels came back this week and were all negative, so we’re going to try letrozole and progesterone to see if that does the trick. If we continue to have losses then we’ll do more testing: an HSG, kerotyping and sperm analysis. I hate getting my hopes up because we’ve been so devastated and let down in the past, but I’m really hopeful this will do the trick since conceiving is half the battle and we’re accomplishing that each cycle we try!
Wishing you the best of luck…please do let me know how the suppositories and clomid work for you!!

NiveenA: that’s terrible. I’m so sorry for your losses. I have just finished all my recurrent miscarriage testing. It has taken since April but we didn’t want to try again for a fourth time until we had tested for everything. I would suggest you try a different doctor and demand a pregesterone test. It is such an easy fix if it is the cause. Have you had your karotyping done? Hsg test? Semen analysis for dna fragmentation? NK cells testing? We are at a fertility clinic and our doc seems very pro-active however our previous doctor didn’t really care so I would encourage you to find a good doctor, some are really old school and don’t believe in progesterone and killer cells etc even with all the proof of it working for some women. I go back for results in a bit over a week so i’ll keep you updated. Good luck!

NiveenA: it’s been about a year or so since I’ve used this account, but just happened to log in and see your reply from 5 days ago. I’m so sorry for your losses. I’m wondering what could cause multiple miscarriages Like yours. It could be as simple as progesterone, but it sounds like something else is going on. My husband and I have been trying almost 2 years now and have both had extensive testing all come back normal. We recently switched care from an OB to a fertility clinic and decided to move forward with IVF. We got pregnant and lost it before 5 weeks, our 7th chemical pregnancy. We don’t know where to go from here. We have frozen embryos and will move forward with another transfer but my fear is we are setting ourselves up for the same outcome. I wish I had a better update or that I had more advice for you. We’ve been through so much heartache and disappointment so I feel for you. Wishing you the best.

lastlastfirst: Hi, so sorry for your losses. I am about to go thru RPL testing next week and found this thread thru searching. I’m so sorry you haven’t had luck conceiving yet. I’m so frustrated for you that it seems like nothing is actually wrong but you can’t stay pregnant. My situation is a bit different as I have had 3 miscarriages but one healthy DD and pregnancy. Low progesterone in all pregnancies but supplements seemed to do the trick with DD. I’m so anxious I won’t have any answers and I won’t be able to have more children. It’s so hard to go thru multiple losses and still not have answers. I hope IVF works for you and you can come back and update us that you are having a happy and healthy pregnancy! Best of luck to you.

lastlastfirst: I know what your going through. I have had 6 or 7 chemical pregnancys in a row!!!! Every month the same thing I get faint positives with low hcg levels. My dr. tells me to stop the progesterone suppositories after my low hcg numbers don’t increase or they decrease..He brushes it off like it’s no big deal every month! Now he says take clomid this month and iui. I’m thinking what the hell will that do?! I’m ovulating every month and sperm is meeting the egg but it seems like there’s something wrong with it implanting. It’s a tease every month now it’s at the point where I just expect it 🙁

Kristina131: I am very sorry to hear this and am truly sorry for your losses. Have you had an HSG done or anything to rule out a uterine septum, fibroid, etc? I ask because from what I’ve read in cases like yours it was either bad luck or an anatomy issue. Best of luck to you, stay strong.

Kristina131: Sorry to hear that. I’d find a new doctor though and ask for further testing before iui. There is heaps of tests that should be ruled out first. It’s not normal to keep having losses. All of our testing was done after 3 losses and I just had surgery to remove a polyp and endometriosis that I didn’t know I had In hope that it will make a difference. Next pregnancy I will also take progesterone, steroids and blood thinners to see if it helps.

Hello, so sorry for your losses. I have had two chemical pregnancies and one miscarriage at 2,5 months inbetween thw two. Unexplained reucurent miscarriages is what we have had back. Done basic testing and all fine including all blood work and salpigography where they check your uterus and tubes … all fine. Fertility off the charts but keeping it is another story ..
My doctor on the third I lost did injections for thrombosis every day just in case and also gave me baby aspiriin all cycle and progesterone pills by mouth the minute i found out. I will keep trying but I know its so sad. SO sad.
I keep hoping the next time will be the one. Let’s hope!
xoxo

grubby : i haven’t been active on this page in years, but got an email notification of your comment and had to reply. after 3 years of unexplained infertility, 7 chemical pregnancies/early losses, multiple ivf cycles, failed embryo transfers & about $50,000 out of pocket i am 35 weeks pregnant!
we are still unexplained despite getting multiple opinions and honestly are unsure why i’m pregnant this time (completely uncomplicated pregnancy with a healthy baby boy). all testing over the past 3 years has been completely normal on both my husband and myself. my dr’s best guess is that our embryos, though genetically normal, their DNA may be lacking the protein for growth or implantation – something you can’t test for or treat. we were told to just keep trying and eventually it’ll happen & it did despite the heartache we went through for years, we’d do it all again and again to have this baby on the way.
i know it’s not easy, but hang in there. if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! rooting for you!
