nameless :  you need to follow up on the original autoimmune antibody test. It isn’t just lupus that is found in. You need to have more testing done for autoimmune disorders. You say you have no other health issues but mentioned something with your kidneys. The issue is, on the off chance you conceive again and it progresses, those antibodies can cause clotting issues with you and within your placenta. Before you conceive again I would get to the bottom of it.

nameless :  I’m just going to reiterate that you need to investigate the autoimmune aspects. Having ANA antibodies could still result in normal hematological results for lupus. You also have kidney insufficiency. These things are likely related issues and not separate. Even if you were not trying to get pregnant I would urge you to investigate this further.

I have Celiac disease. I had never had a miscarriage until I was diagnosed with Celiac. ANA antibodies are common in Celiac as well. I didn’t know that. Kidney problems are very common in Celiac as well. I’m not saying you have Celiac, but I do think you gave an undiagnosed autoimmune disease, even if you think you’re asymptomatic. I’m not a doctor, this is just my personal experience. That first ANA result is not a fluke and just because ONE test came back ‘negative’ does not mean there isn’t something else going on. I also encourage you to get hard copy blood results and investigate them yourself. I have had nurses call me with blood results that were normal when upon further inspection they were not.

I also don’t believe you getting pregnant again so soon is the problem UNLESS you have an undiagnosed, untreated underlying condition. I miscarried in May and became pregnant (28 weeks now) in July. Your body wants to get pregnant.

Autoimmune conditions are more common after pregnancy. Mine was triggered by my 2nd csection although Celiac runs heavy on my father’s side.
