Ha! Well I can tell you that I have it booked for the day after – Saturday, October 15, 2011!

And also, that I’m sorry that we blocked off half of the hotel rooms for Friday night already… we will probably meet, though, because we and our wedding party are staying for Friday-Sunday!  Having our rehearsal on-site Friday night as well.

BUT, obviously this means I loved it.  Elizabeth has been so wonderful to work with, and really flexible thus far.  We are having our ceremony right across the street at St. Stephen’s!  Good luck planning, and let me know if you book!

Best,

Heather

Here’s a link to a previous thread that discussed the Red Lion:

any brides having their wedding at red lion inn in cohasset?

My review is on there. I’m very sorry to give such negative reports, but I have yet to hear of a successful event held there in the last 5 years. I don’t have anything good to say about the venue, staff, food, setup, organization, or decor.

I absolutely, %100 hope that your event goes well. Perhaps some new management or staff will begin to fix all the issies there.

Feel free to PM me if you want more details.

I attended a wedding there about a year ago and its very beautiful inside. However, the service was SOO slow. It was a Saturday evening wedding and we weren’t served dinner until close to 10pm. I honestly have never been so hungry in my life!! The food wasn’t that great either but I was so happy to finally be able to eat dinner that I didn’t care.

I went to a wedding there in the summer and the food service was so slow. That probably was the caterer’s fault though not the venue’s. there just seemed to be not enough waters/servers, and by the time they got us our food, it was cold. In planning a wedding myself, I know that all the caterers charge the gratuity as a mandatory fee, and when the service is slow and the food is cold almost like it was right out of the fridge, it is unacceptable. I didn’t tell my friend because I didn’t want to offend her, but that was the talk of the entire wedding how the night just seemed sluggish since everything too FOREVER.
