Hi bees,
So I am thinking of wearing bright red lips on my wedding day and have been testing out various products. I am looking for an INEXPENSIVE very long-wearing lip color, and so far I have come across (from youtube) the Loreal Infallible lipstick duo type thing in Beyonce Red, which runs about $11.99, and then a product I got from Rimmel, the Lasting Finish Kiss & Stay lipgloss in cherry blossom which is really bright and loooks gorgeous! The Rimmel one does stay on all day, unless I eat greasy foods which I dont plan on doing on my wedding day. But it lasts long, feels good, and it’s only about $6.
So, for you bees who love red lips, what are your favorite red lip products to use? What is the best long-wearing lip color you have come across? Have any of you tried the Loreal Infallible one? I want to buy it but then again, I dont want to dish out $12 just for it to start flaking like the Covergirl and Maybelline long wearing lip colors have done. Post your experiences with red lips products and POST PICS! if you have any 🙂

I recommend a quality lip stain with a gloss or a lip conditioner (i.e. burts bees) over it. Benefit has a rosy one … you should hit up a Sephora, they have tons of stuff.

thanks for the tips girls, but there isn’t a Sephora anywhere close to me.=/ lol I know I can shop online and I already have the Bene-tint cheek and lip stain, and don’t really like it. Stains to me aren’t pigmented enough because I want that BAM sort or red lip, not the kind that looks like you’ve been sucking on berries, lol! Because I wear a lipstain on a day to day basis. I’ve checked Sephora online too, but everything is too expensive, I want something in the price range of drugstore. I can’t dish out $20 for a lip product that I’m not sure I’ll like since I’d be ordering offline. =/ I appreciate the help though!!

@TineTine07: Thanks! I’ve been wanting to try that one (as you can see from my post lol) Have you had any problems with it flaking off during the day? I have found to have that problem with a lot of long wearing lipcolors which is why I am hesitant to buy it.

Benefit has a lip stain, that I swear, will never come off! LOL its for cheeks and lips I believe! Its awesome, but it does gravitated towards ANY cracks, but i’d wear it underneath a lip liner and lipstick! I personally love MACs REDs

@CupCakeMeg: Is it called Bene-tint? if so I already have it and dont like it. I want something more pigmented. Also, Mac is too expensive for me, and so is stuff from Sephora, etc. There aren’t any near me so I can’t go in and try anything, and I am also looking for something bright, opaque, and that won’t come off when we have our first kiss! (as husband and wife anyway) haha

@agirlwithdreams7: Do you want shine or matte? I would also suggest Infallible lip stain then a tinted gloss over for pop.

Maybe try L’Oreal Endless Kissable. Its that commercial where its not supposed to come off on your napkin or if you kiss…
…And I’d play with the shades of Red, sometimes a TRUE red doesnt work for everyone, esp. if you have any shade less than PEARLY WHITE teeth! && totally look for coupons or at the local ads; cuz even maybeline, L’oreal, Revlon, etc, cosmetics can be expensive.

@CrystalBlackheart: I want something matte, that I can put a clear balm/gloss over top. Like the Rimmel Kiss&Stay lipgloss that I mentioned. It by far is the best that I’ve tried, but I wanted to know my other inexpensive options. I want something that won’t come off when I kiss my FH, etc. lol

I second MAC’s Russian Red. It’s a matte color and I love it!
