I am having a spring wedding incorporating red and white with green accents (from fancy foliage, green hydrangeas or moss…), so it should look more like a garden theme. I love red, my FI loves green. I know we can make red and green work together for a spring wedding and NOT look like Christmas. I’ve used Pinterest. =)
Anyway, my concern right now is about the bridesmaid dresses. I’m hooked on having long champagne-colored dresses, and they’d have a mix of red tulip bouquets showing the green leaves. My FI is concerned their beige-y/champagne colors when they’re not holding the flowers will just look boring. Our red theme won’t be obvious. He wants color. I want elegance. He was suggesting BMs wear long red dresses (but I think all the red would be too bold and will make me think of the holidays, plus, I have in mind to wear red during dancing at the reception). And he also suggested the groomsmen wear minty-green vests and red ties! Uhhhhh…. let me take care of the color coordinations, hun. =) So, I need YOUR suggestions here please. Can I have BMs wearing long, semi-formal champagne-colored dresses? And how can they add red touches without looking tacky? Red jewelry, red shoes, red lipstick, red flower in hair? I need pictures.
I will post pictures later for inspiration/ideas, but I’d love to see YOUR picture ideas as well please. Thank you for any input you could help me with!
