- Wedding: March 2014
Ok before I go any further I just want to explain something, you will find that in my posts I say stuff like, ‘around here the norm is’ etc because let’s face it there is quite a huge cultural and lifestyle divide between us African bees and American & European bees. so when I usually put the ‘this is how we usually do it’ thing it’s trying to help you see things in a different light. hence my excitement over the fact that I am wearing red heels to my wedding:))))) until just about 2 years ago, the bride had to wear all white, worst case scenario ivory. Anything other than that sort of meant you are not a virgin, lol, yep it’s big stuff.
Well I am breaking a lot of those rules and it’s not just me, things are changing and elders are now more flexible, a friend of mine wore hot pink heels for her wedding recently. Some of my guests haven’t wrapped their heads around the fact that our wedding colours are black, charcoal grey, white and red accents… What!!! Did you say black? that’s the colour of evil” is the response I would have gotten from everyone 10 years ago… Thank you Lord for evolution. Anyway that’s a story for another day. Today’s focus is on my little red babies that arrived about two weeks ago… I’m going to share a few pictures
I actually thoroughly dislike gold on anything but this the only time i will truly make the exception. Absolutely exquisite.
And this quite a fuzzed out picture of when shoe met feet:)
I will be sure to upload proper pictures after the big day.
Here’s to new traditions:)
Have a BEEutiful day
