HI. I have searched all over for the perfet e-ring and band (s) at all types of stores from Tiffany to the Jewelry Exchange. I found one at the Shane Company that I love. I am a little leary because the e-ring (without stone) as well as the bands are 1/3 the price of similar (almost exact) rings I’ve found at other jewelrs. Does anybody have experience with an e-ring from Shane Co? How is the quality? Should I simply be happy that we will be saving thousands of dollars or will I be paying the price later?
Here is a link to the ring if you are interested. http://www.shaneco.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?O=PRODSEARCH&X=41045152
We will be using 2 bands to achieve a look like this (these are not the exact rings, but you get the idea:http://www.shaneco.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?X=41045300&O=Nav&C0=1&C1=3&ST=Matching Sets&I=60

I got my wedding ring set from ShaneCo. I love them! I picked out my ring, but by the time DH purchased it, there was only ONE left. The sales person actually tracked it down and called the store that had it to talk to a sales rep to make sure they had the ring in their hand. He then had it shipped express for no cost! We had to have it sized, and they did that in one day. My experience with them was very positive, and if we need any jewelry I always go to them now. They have always been super helpful! Also my rings are top quality, VERY beautiful and I definitely think we got a deal. Our ring set would have cost double at a competator, and I’m so glad we didn’t bother.

My Fi and I went to the Shane co looking for rings back in 05. We were only 18 and 19 and gf and bf at the time. They did not take us seriously and did not greet us. I had held a grudge with them for so long. My Fiance picked out a ring in May and it was from Shane Co. I had a few problems with them the first 2 times I went there but now the service is much better. I actually enjoy going to Shane Co to pick up my ring or whatever. I don’t dread it like I use to because they were so rude to me.

Thanks for the comments! I konw that Shane Co has a bad reputatation when it comes to customer service, which I would not necessarily concur with, but I have had better. However, I am not concerned with the service aspect, but instead with the QUALITY of their rings. I’m thinking of 14K. Does anyone have a 14K ring from Shane Co that they have had on their finger for awhile?

DD really loves her ring from there. She’s been wearing it about a year.

We got my engagement ring and wedding ring from Shane Company. I couldn’t be happier with the quality and the service. They had the best quality and the best selection and the best service. My rings are 14K yellow gold. I have been wearing my engagement ring since last February with no problems at all.

I wouldn’t say you’d be “saving thousands” from shopping at Shane Co. Maybe versus Tiffany, sure, but, you’re still paying a hefty mark-up for the costs of a brick-and-mortar store. I always vote for buying from online vendors rather than b&m or chain jewelers. You get SO much more for your money. If you haven’t already, I’d check out pricescope.com for info & ideas on where you might want to shop. PS vendors have excellent reputations for both quality of their products and service. I do like the style you’re looking into though! I hope you end up with a lovely, quality ring at a a fair price. 🙂

My e-ring is from Shane Co & I love it! We’re heading there for our wedding bands too. Service has been great & always friendly & we’ve had tons of friends get theirs from SCo too.

I got both my bands, my diamond, and my setting from the shane company. I am 110% happy with their service. They have some great exchange policies also. For example, you can upgrade your diamond at any time and get the full value of what you paid for your diamond toward your new one. I actually just got new wedding bands and even though it was waaaay past the exchange date, they let me do it anyways with no hassel. They have been soooo great to us and wouldnt buy from anyone else from now on.

I have a 14k white gold ring from ShaneCo, and I’ve had it for 2 years. I love it, and I haven’t had any problems with it at all – no loose stones, no nothing. Everytime I bring it in to them, they clean it for free on top of it! ShaneCo is awesome.

I have a14K white gold ring that I have been wearing for four months now. No issues with the gold or anything. What exactly are you wondering/wanting to know?

My set it from Shane Co as well. Like you, I was concerned about the quality of the band/prongs because it is 14k gold. After to talking to my friends about it (whose DF/DH all bought their rings from Shane) they said not to worry. I haven’t ever heard them have any complaints.
I was also concerned because Shane tends to get bad reviews if you look them up online. This really surprised me because Shane Co was the last jeweler we went too in our area and their diamonds far surpassed any at the other stores (except for hearts and arrows which seemed too pricey). The diamonds here are so sparkly and we (*he) saved a lot of money.
The only thing I would be concerned about is getting your ring insured. I know Shane Co says they have a lifetime warranty but there are reports saying they do not always honor that agreement, so I would definately put it under your home owners insurance as well.

I went to Shane looking for a new setting for my marquise. I felt like they would show me whatever I wanted but they weren’t very knowledgeable in offering solutions to achieve the look I wanted.
Also they’re overpriced. I was going to buy a new setting there and have them reset my stone. They wanted to charge $200 on top of the price of the setting. That’s ridiculous.
I took my new setting the the local jeweler that my Fiance purchase my ering from and they reset it for $35. If I’d bought one of their settings it would have been free.
Just know that they’ll overcharge you for things that should be included.

My e-ring, wedding band, and diamond all came from Shane Co and I LOVE them! The e-ring has been on my hand for just under a year (crazy to believe!) and the wedding band for a month and I’ve had zero problems with either. They’re 14K white gold and both are channel set (so similar idea to the ring you posted). I get so many compliments, even from stangers, on the beauty of my rings.
The rings you posted are gorgeous and I’d definitely recommend Shane Co. They’ve been great for DH and I!

I have a 14k e-ring from Shane. I’ve worn it since November of last year, and I’ve never had any problems. In fact, our shopping experience at Shane was better than any other jewelery store we tried. Our saleslady respected our budget, which was really nice. At a lot of the other stores we went to, they kept showing us rings that were $200-$400 more than what we said we wanted to spend. Also, I noticed that the bands of all the rings I tried on at shane were thicker than the other rings I tried on at other stroes. Some of the rings at other stores felt flimsy to me, but my Shane ring feels really sturdy. I don’t worry that I’m going to wear through the gold any time soon, if that makes sense.
