I love your dress! I don’t think it goes so well with the booties. I’d do a cute flat, or a nice heel, but I think the booties will look kind of clunky under your dress.

BeeutifulBee:  The reality is that no one will see your shoes except for the obligatory “shoe shot”. Therefore you can wear what you like.

Would they be my choice to wear with such a beautiful dress on one of the most important days of your life? No.

Tell us what your dream shoes would look like. What shade of red? heel height? peep toe or closed toe? budget?

I’d find a red pump or sandal over booties…

Your dress is very light and airy and those shoes don’t match that style.

I personally have never heard of a Chicago themed wedding, and I’m from there. There is light blue in the Chicago flag and I personally think that color would look much better than red.

BeeutifulBee:  I was in the same predicamen, but with yellow shoes. After finding a pair I adored, the Etsy seller took my money then disappeared! Luckily as soon as I opened a dispute she refunded my money in full and claimed the shoes were “lost in the mail”. I’ve now started researching customizing my own pair of shoes. Is this something you think you could do? It makes it a hell of a lot easier to find a pair of shoes you like and change the colour, instead of buying a pair based on the colour?

Sorry but I think the booties are way too casual and clunky for your beautiful dress. I love the idea of a red pump though!

Here are my red pumps I’m wearing! Had to get kitten heels as I am tool tall otherwise for the dress! Love that I can wear them afterwards also…

I don’t want to be rude, but be careful with red!

I went to a wedding recently where the bride over-did it and wore bright red shoes, bright red lips, bright red nails and had a boquet of bright red roses. It just came off as tacky!

If you can’t find any red shoes that you like, what if you got a pair of say silver or white shoes and strassed them with red crystals? (Assuming you wouldn’t mind a DIY project).

Totally agree with PP that a classsic red heel is the way to go. So many pretty ones already posted. The booties will just look odd with a wedding dress.

BeeutifulBee: I guess I am the only one but I am intrigued by this. I think it could be very chic looking. I wore a different style of shoe at my wedding too and I loved them. Get them and try them on with the dress that might help make up your mind.
