I’m getting married this summer. My colors are red black and white/maybe silver. I haven’t told ppl much about my decisions outside of the wedding party. I think my sister mentioned it to my aunt and she immediately turned her nose up. Why would she choose those colors? Oh and did I mention that while I do believe in God I will not be marrying in a church. My aunt is so deep in the church that the pastor has given her keys, I was frowned upon for not having it in a church. I’m like gheesh…. when you got married you had it how you wanted it. I am not asking for your funds so what I do with MY wedding on MY dime is MY business.
I just needed to get that out. I’m excited and ready for it to be over so me and MY husband can go on our 5 dat cruise……

@spencersgrl: Just grin and bear it and then do what you want. If they aren’t paying, they don’t get a say.
Some people just come out of the woodwork at weddings and think their opinions are the absolute most important.
The more you keep stuff quiet and to yourself the less opinions on your wedding you’ll get.
I’m sure your event will be lovely! Best of luck!

I had a black, white and red color scheme! it was beautiful, romantic and classy. I loved it. I’ve never understood how family members get so worked up over someones wedding – especially those in the extended family, like just come and enjoy yourself…why all the feedback?
good luck! i’m sure your wedding will be beautiful.
remember, its all about you and your Fiance – you only do it once so do what you want!
