@bridget.sutter: me TOO!!!! I have a 6year old, 10 month old (the biggest whiner of them all) and 2 stepdaughters 8 and 9……all girls……so I hear a LOT of whining (and drink a lot of wine lol)

love it! lol my family actually drinks from mason jars.. but we’re also from Georgia and it’s kind of the norm (all the people I know have done it before..) but I think it’s adorable!, a nice novelty.. I would put a lemonade or infused sweet tea recipe on it and give it as a gift 🙂 treat them more like “goblets’

If you don’t want to buy them from a retailer, or from Etsy or somewhere … you can make them.  (I have seen them priced at $20 bucks apiece.)  Go to Dollar Tree and get a $1 candlestick.  Then use a canning jar.  Usually they are made with pint jar, but i have used a half-pint also.  Go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and get a tube of Loc-Tite glass repair glue … it’s like $2 – $3 for a tube.  You really will only need a bit — the tube will go a long way.  So, for less than $2 apiece, you can make you own.

I think these are adorable and fun, and I know the perfect person to send them to for their wedding.  What a great idea!

@bridget.sutter:  hi, I’m from Canada and I want to make these  redneck wine glasses for my wedding, but I can not find  the candlestick base here in Canada. the dollar tree.com doesn’t ship to Canada. can anyone suggest how I can get these? eBay is too expensive!

Dollar Tree bought Dollar Giant here in Canada, so yay for us!! I bought these candle sticks at the Dollar Giant here. Im not doing the wine glasses I’m using them to make higher fancier cylinder vases (but its the exact same process, just a vase instead of a canning jar).

So check out  DG, they cost $1.25 there. Hope that helps. 😀
