I haven’t decided if I am going to get them.  I think it would most definitely be a confidence booster, but, like you, it’s terrifying.  I think you can do sexy without baring it all though, and if I did a shoot, that’s how I’d do it.

I’m planning on having some done, mostly for my fiance, but also a little bit for me.  I’m young and good-looking now, I want that recorded!  I am awkward in front of cameras though, so hopefully this will help me be more relaxed instead of rigidly posed for our wedding pictures.

I am having boudoir photos done. I am not sure why you would think they are the dumbest thing ever. To each their own, right?

I would find a photographer who you like and that you like the style of their photos. I am by no means a skinny girl, but I am looking forward to having these done! Sure Fiance will enjoy the albulm, but the actual experience is all for me. I think it’s a great opportunity to doing something a bit out of my comfort zone, embrace my body and feel sexy!

It sounds fun but honestly for me it’s sort of a waste of money. I don’t need some random woman (or dude) taking photos of me in lingerie to feel good about my body. If it were free or I had a ton of money, I would be up for it. But as it is, I can think of a ton of other things I’d rather spend $250-$500 on. And Fiance can take some lingerie photos of me for free 🙂

I have nothing against everyone who’s doing them, btw, just saying that for me personally it’s sort of superfluous.

I’m with you on the dumb to interesting to impowerment thing. I am doing them largely because I want a chance to look good in a way that I would probably never show my parents. Don’t plan on doing anything that would thoroughly shock them, just make them uncomfortable. Tongue out

Talking about them has also done wonder in the bedroom.

@Girwitharing – I think my boy would enjoy taking pics of me in lingerie more then a bodouir shoot! haha Its not a bad idea!

I’d be interested to read why you didn’t like them at first! I’d love to have a boudoir session but it’s not financially feasable for another year or two. I really like the way my body looks, and my SO loves it too of course, so it would be a cool memento for us to have. It might be more of a gift for me than him, actually. Heh. Female sexuality FTW.

I like the idea – I like the way I look in the mirror but don’t tend to photograph well, so it’d be really fun and gratifying to explore taking flattering, sexy photos of me.  I mentioned it to the boy, though, and he thought it was dumb / superfluous / silly / the whole bit.  I may do it anyway, though, at some point and just keep the pictures for me…

@Osakagrl – we did it on our anniversary a few weeks ago, and we both had fun. Fiance thought boudoir photos were silly but he sure enjoyed taking some himself 🙂

I toyed with the idea.  A good friend of mine had them done and she (as well as her FI) was really pleased with the outcome.  They ended up spending over $800 on them though, and that just seems like a lot of money for something that MY Fiance would probably hardly ever look at.  So, I’m not going to do them.  That is MY fiance though, I can see that others might enjoy them much more, making it worth the investment.

I do understand how they could make you feel young and sexy and confident, but I just can’t part with the kind of money right now…..and maybe a year or two down the road if Fiance expresses any interest it would be a nice V-day or birthday surprise OR I love girlwitharings idea 😉

I would have a ton of fun with these.  i used to be much more of an exhibitionist while in my clubbing days (Read one of the get in free gogo dancers who get to dress skimpy and shake yer tush without drunk guys grabbing at you) but now that I’ve been dating Fiance, that has all gone out the window.  He doesn’t care, he doesn’t enjoy it.  He doesn’t really care for cute underwear either.

It makes me angry that he would probably just stare at me upset if I did these, and not appreciate it at all.  I know I’d have a blast trying to feel and look cute.

O snap!  Forgot to give you one of the “risquee” pics from a goth clubbing night (yes those are special contacts).  Can you tell that I would so be into doing a boudoir shoot?  I’m just afraid he would get on my case about it, even if no one else would be looking.  It is frustrating.
