Hi. I’m looking for advice about decorating the reception tables. I originally wanted my wedding colors to be regency purple and champage/gold. But so far everything is purple and I haven’t figured out how to add a second color. The chair covers will be white and have regency sashes. The table clothes are white as well. My question is what else I should add to the table. Should I do a regency runner or colored napkins? Should the napkins be regency or champage/gold? Should the napkins be satin (like the sashes) or regular cotton? The rental place I’m using doesn’t have gold/champagne runners, only regency ones for my date. For budget reasons, I’d like to either add runners or colored napkins (the venue provides white & ivory napkins for free) and not both. I would be buying, not renting the napkins, so I can buy any color.
Here’s the chair covers and sash. <!–[endif]–>
For reference purple is incorporated into the wedding in the bridesmaid dresses– amethyst by Jordan. This is the color http://www.jordanfashions.com/554. Also the table numbers and escort cards will be gold with purple backing. We haven’t picked the specific flowers for the arrangements yet but they will be shades of white and lavender in very tall & large arrangements. And the cake has large purple gumpaste passion flowers too.
The reception is at a country club and the room is very open (lots of light and windows). The walls are nuetral/gold with gold window coverings. That’s why I originally thought gold would work as an accent color.
I would appreciate any advice about the table decorations! Thanks!
