I’m not sure what you’ll do during a weekend since ours was just one Saturday from like 9-3.  However, we had a book that we went through and you wrote a lot and then shared with with your Fiance.  Even though there were 43 couples in that room, I really felt close to Fiance when we shared.  I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

I think that different dioceses require totally different ones. We had to go to one that was all about NFP, and then we did another one that was completely on communication. Both were extremely helpful, I thought. Just go with an open mind and be prepared to learn something! 🙂

I loved our pre-cana! We got to meet some great couples that had awesome values and learned a ton about finances, sex and birth control. It blew away all the little myths I had been told about sex, marriage, a women’s role etc. within the church.

Have fun 🙂

For ours we met with the cooridinator at my church filled out a survey (FOCUS) and she sent away the survey. When she got it back we discussed the areas that we differed on and that was it!

Quick and painless

Have fun!  Ours was the 7 hour Saturday workshop and we actually really enjoyed it.  They made it funny and discussed real marriage situations that could only benefit couples who go.  It was a great experience and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.  Just be sure to take a lot away from it 🙂

As other posters have stated, it really varies between parishes. We just had a one day Pre-Cana course, and it was awesome! Lots of discussion between you and your partner, and with other couples, particularly about family, intimacy, how religion will factor into your relationship, etc. etc. I loved it because it really brought up some things that we hadn’t thought about, and made you think seriously about what this whole marriage thing will mean for you and your spouse moving forward.

Enjoy!!
