We’ve already registered–we did it in April. However, by no means should you let that dictate your schedule.  I am freakishly over-prepared.  Hell I had a guest list the day after he proposed.

Initially, we decided to register at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond–that way we could give people price options.  We registered at Target first–which sucked.  No one helps you with anything (at least our Target). We were entirely on our own.  Then we went to BB&B (who was amazing and had someone walk around with us and go through every department) and registered for the stuff weneeded, but didn’t select at Target.  However, the next day I went to edit one of our items on the Target Registry and found that all but 2 of the items we selected were “No longer available”. Seeing that I cancelled our Target Registry and just moved everything to BB&B.

we did about March…but our shower is in a few weeks, so we had to get an early jump!

We registered at Kohls and Target! My fiestaware is always on sale for 29.99 a set at Kohls! And I know everyone gets those darn 20% off things all the time! Figured it would be best!

yes! We’ve even had 5 gifts bought off the registry! eek!

I think we still want to go back and modify it a bit, cuz I’m not sure I like everything, and we have a few more things that we forgot to register for.

@MsBrewer: I’m sure. I usually check it once a month and if things are discontinued, I replace them. I have a lot of um…down time at work. lol

You should tell people where you’re registered in the Bridal Shower invitations.  That way they know. Also, a lot of people will ask you directly.  It is, however, considered rude to put where you’re registered in your wedding invitation.  It implys that you expect gifts, when technically gifts are optional at the wedding/reception.

@basketballwifetobe:  I’m an April 2012 bride too.  We’ve already registered.  My mom and grandma have been going crazy and just buying a bunch of stuff so I thought it couldn’t hurt.  The lady at BB&B looked at me like I was nuts for doing it now though.

We registered on Amazon and at BBB in April. We did it early because he will be in another state for the summer and we were already there to get a gift for a friends wedding.

We have 3 registries: Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and Amazon. Pottery barn and Crate & barrel both gave me cards to be included with my shower invites. So I need to give those to my Maid/Matron of Honor soon, since she plans to mail the shower invites next month. We are having a small wedding, so I don’t anticipate that our registry will get much attention. We really filled it out with a focus on maximizing the post-wedding completion discounts.

We registered back in February at Bed Bath and Beyond and Macy’s.

We put the information on our website, and then put the website on our save the dates!
