Has anyone done it?
I was just there yesterday and I meant to ask if registering there was even and option.
Input would be SO great. And I would love to know if it worked well for people who did too.

I dont’ think they do registry, at least not the one in my area. But I had a friend who on her inviation just said, "The coulpe are registered at Target or would like Ikea gift cards". Not the most formal way of saying it, but it could work.

I’ve heard you can register at the store, and they’ll put together a list for you, but there’s no online registry. But, you might want to call up the store – I don’t think they all do it.
We were thinking of doing as mrshudson suggested, just a mention on our website.

I’d have done it if it was an option, but I’m not aware that they have registries, maybe they do (or do now.)

The one by me doesn’t do registries because of the high turnover rate of their products. But Gift cards would definitely do the trick!

They don’t do registries, but we used myregistry.com and it allowed us to put IKEA items on it. I second the gift card option.

the IKEA in seattle will allow you to register, but just with their store.
we live in LA, and were very sad we couldn’t register at IKEA… so we just put a note on our website, listing our registries, and then added "and we wish IKEA had a registry so we could register there, too!" people took the hint and we got enough gift cards to furnish our apartment! 🙂

I know this is an older post but I saw that the wedding was set for June 2014 so I figured it can’t hurt to respond. I also have been researching registering in IKEA and this is what I found out: As of now only IKEA Portland has a registry service. I’m not from Portland and al trying to find out if/when they will roll out this service to the rest of the stores because I think many couple would be interested.

I found out IKEA has one store in Portland that has a registry serivice. I also wanted to register and am hoping that they roll it out to other stores soon. I read the reviews and it seems that people are really happy with the service and all of the unique features. Have you tried contacting IKEA, maybe if they hear that there is a high level of interest they’ll consider opening this service in other stores. I hope
