One of my aunts was recently really surprised to find out that I registered for fine china. She told me most weddings of younger couples now seem to only have everyday china.
So I have two questions:
1. Did you register for fine china?
2. What was the cost per 5p place setting? I’ve found them ranging from $40 – $200, went with a pattern I really liked for $50 per place setting. To me, that is extremely reasonable for fine china!

I’m not registering for fine china only because I inherited some. I love having it and using it for special occassions.
$50 is very reasonable for china.

We didn’t register for fine china. Instead we registered for a set that I feel can be dressed up enough for company, but still works just for us. Your cost per place setting doesn’t sound bad, however we are both young and don’t have much stuff so to us it was more important to register for other things we need (and hopefully stand a better chance getting them if we don’t register for two sets of dinnerware).

I didn’t register for fine china, but that’s only because I couldn’t find a pattern that I loved. If I did really like a certain pattern, I would have registered for it in a heart beat! From what I’ve seen $125-ish is pretty standard, so I would agree that $50 is very reasonable!

I’m not sure how much mine was back in the day…I have Vera Wang Grosgrain and I registered for it about 6 years ago. My aunts bought all of it for me, so price really wasn’t an issue, but I think it was around $100.

We didn’t register for fine china because everyone I know that has only uses it once a year or so! To me, I’d much rather be given something I use every day 🙂
lol actually, we didn’t even register for dinnerware because last year we bought the perfect set. It cost us about $45 a set- they were 30% off. Woo!
I’m a minimalist when it comes to the things I surround myself with… clean lines, no clutter, etc. We settled on a classic white set that is timeless & lovely!
