Oddly enough, we chose Macy’s because of how affordable things are! They have sales going every weekend, and it’s easy to get things cheaper there than at BB&B. We also registered at Crate & Barrell and REI.

Thank you all so much for the ideas! Here is a question: Do you have to go in person to register? I figured we would definitely go to one store on Saturday, BB&B since thats the only one I’ve definitely decided on, but then maybe do the rest online? For instance, if I wanted to do a Target or Crate & Barrel registry, could I just start those online?
This might seem weird, but we really want to register for some games – board games, card games, trivia games – we love that stuff! So, I was thinking Target might be the best place for that… or maybe Amazon? Just not sure??
The mister wants to register at Sears (think TOOLS, TOOLS, TOOLS!). Boring.

I using myregistry.com too! i love it! and if you do use myregisty.com you can do all your shopping online..all you have to do is add the “add to myregistry.com” button and click it while you’re doing your online shopping…its so easy! =]

I take back my previous post. We had registered at Macys…but I just broke up with them today. I couldn’t stand their revolving prices. One day things would be 80% off, the next day full price. We went to BB&B, where things are reasonably priced consistently and there are always 20% off coupons.
one thing to think about if you’re considering Macys. I didn’t want to deal with the stress of “will my registry items be ons ale when people are shopping?”

Completely agree. We ended up going to Macy’s and starting a registry, but I am deleting it. The prices were too much and we couldnt see our guests paying that. We did BB&B as well and found a great cookware set there along with tons of other stuff. We’re very happy with them. We also did a small registry at Target… though their return policy continues to bother me.
