I registered at BB&B, Crate & Barrel and Macys.  I really wanted to register at Williams Sonoma before C&B but after seeing the prices of things I wanted there I decided against it.  I absolutely love BB&B and their 20% off coupons and I really wanted a department store so Macys was an easy choice for us.

Right now I’ve got it up to Crate and Barrell and Target. I have china picked out at BB&B, but I don’t know if I want to register there. And then I just signed up for an Amazon registry, but mostly to see how it works. We’ll see if it sticks.

We just wandered around a few stores. We hit up Target, BB&B, and Crate and Barrel. We decided on BB&B because we they had a better selection than Target. And Crate and Barrel-there wasn’t one near us. The closest one to us was two hours away and we really wanted to make thing convenient for our guests.

We’re doing Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and Macy’s. We chose WS because that’s where we usually buy all of our cookware/etc, Pottery Barn has our tableware, and Macy’s for towels and bedding. We aren’t registering for china/silver/etc because my lovely parents bought me 12-person sets of all of that when I was born. 🙂

We decided on three: Amazon, for all our friends and people like us who buy practically everything online (every item we picked is elligible for free shipping!), Crate & Barrel, for all those who like to pick out something stylish or hip, and Bed, Bath and Beyond, for the folks who like brick and mortar/shopping center stores and want to buy something practical.  We probably put way too much thought into it 🙂

We haven’t registered but we pretty much know.  First criteria we used was to make sure the store sold good quality products.  Since Fiance and I currently do not live together, we selected the stores based on how pratical it was: do they have most of the stuff we actually need.

We have an in store registry at Target – which I  know is nation wide so all our guests can access their stores if they arent internet savy – however we couldnt decide on our more luxe portion of the registry – so we decided on amazon’s universal registry which allows you to register for any store and allows guest to reserve items and order or buy in store-  it’s amazing. I have gone to some major stores ( i.e. Macys, Pottery Barn) to look at items and add them; however, its really come in handy because I can do it on my own time and add whenever I want. I highly recommend it for any busy bride!
