Hi, Bee’s! I’m firming up our registries this week because my bridal shower will be March 12. Since we both have lived on our own and I have all of my grandmother’s belongings, we pretty much a stocked house. Of course, we do want more modern stuff and such.
My question is: what items did you find were a must have, yet somewhat outside of the box? Most gifts are toasters, dishes, silverware, towels. Did ya’ll receive anything you never really thought about registering for or it has came in handy?

One thing I wished I registered for was a panini press. I thought I’d never use it, but then changed my mind after the wedding and I use it all the time.

The KitchenAid mixer if you bake a lot!

Good luggage (we have a very well stocked kitchen already) and a growler holder

Well, my new #1 want is the Bissell little green carpet cleaner/steamer. I was at a superbowl party last night with kids running around and my wine red wine got spilled onto their very pretty, very beige floral rug. oh man. she pulled this little baby out and the stain was completely gone in about 2 minutes. not one drop of red wine left. iI registered for this as soon as we got home. I never even thought about putting something like this on my registry. She said the Bissell and the dustbuster ended up being her favorite things!

Our PS3. Sounds weird, but it is seriously our most used wedding gift. Especially since we can use it to stream netflix!

I think my fav thing that is something easy and cheaper that I use all the time is my apron. I really thought it was cute and didn’t thinK I would get it or actually use it. WRONG! I got it at my shower and use it about every week or so.
We also got a spice rack that I love and our new set of knives. I know normal things but very nice for the upgrade. We are also registered for the folding lawn chairs.

@artbee: LOVE the idea of a panini press! I actually had to look it up, but it looks awesome!
@nmsoonerbride: What exactly is a growler holder? Lol.
We actually have a stand mixer. It’s really old, but it still works and I love it! I guess I just don’t think we should put that on there since we already have one. Our luck would be someone would buy that rather than something we really need! Lol
@Nola: I LOVE aprons. I didn’t even think of that! Maybe one of the three places have a cute one!
My sister had a bissel carpet cleaner (it was green and white and very portable) for pets and it turned out to be awful. I wonder if that’s the same thing..

@jayelcee85: thank you so much for posting this!!! We haven’t registered yet, but I am already thinking about it, and worried about registering for useless stuff. I rather regsiter for things we really will use, and def wouldn’t mind getting more checks instead to help pay for the wedding as we run out of registry items! SO many of my friends/family have tons of items from their registry collecting dust!

Luggage and a spice rack! Totally didn’t think of either of those. Thanks!

We got a BluRay player and it’s one of our top 3 most used gifts (along with the knives and the Keurig). We also really use cutting boards, wine glasses, the vacuum and we love the photo frames we got. Oh, and nice throw blankets!
