Go for it.  I’d say 3/4s of the wedding gifts I received were ordered online and sent to my parents’ house.  Actually, probably more than that – about half of our shower gifts were sent to the house and ALL of our actual wedding gifts were sent to the house (tangible gifts I mean, not cards with monetary gifts).   I must say, it was a really fun few weeks there having numerous packages dropped off at the house daily!

Trust me, online only is NOT going to be a deterrent for about 90% of wedding guests.  There are always deals for free shipping (with purchases over a certain amount) and honestly, most people prefer the convenience of shopping online.   With the price of petrol nowadays, it’s not really any more cost efficient to drive to the store specifically to pick up a gift.

So with that, go ahead and register for what you want, whether it’s available in store or not!

ETA:  I know I’m in Australia but I’m an American, our wedding was in the States, and all of our gifts came from Macy’s or Kohl’s – so despite the location on my profile, this is coming from an American perspective.  Just felt I needed to clarify that for some reason!  🙂
