I don’t know about any of you, but I am OBSESSED with watching the little numbers change on our Bed Bath & Beyond registry. I check the numbers at least once a day and I’m being very good and not looking at which things have been purchased (my Fiance would be unhappy and I would be disappointed in myself for looking). At first I was just so overwhelmed that anyone was buying us anything at all… and now, as we are on the eve of my very big bridal shower and only one month from the wedding, there are only 19 items left!! I’m so very overwhelmed and touched by how much people want to “shower” us! It truly is making us feel loved and richly blessed! I’m a little apprehensive about receiving all of it tomorrow because it almost seems like too much! Has anyone else experienced this??
On a side note: has anyone else used MyRegistry.com? We have 4 stores combined on there (it’s still the smaller list by half), but very few people have ordered from it and are obviously opting for the BB&B one. Have any of you used it? Did you experience the same one-sided registry buying? I’m wondering if it has to do with familiarity of BB&B and the much older crowd we have invited (a lot of church folk).

I loved stalking our registry when we were engaged, haha. I was bad though, and I specifically looked at what was being purchased.
I understand how you feel – I felt completely overwhelmed and appreciative of how many people bought us things. We are still grateful!
Have fun at your shower tomorrow! 🙂

I just registered yesterday and already stalk it like crazy, not that anyone has bought anything off of it yet lol.
I haven’t registered on that website, but I think you might run into the issue of some people not wanting to purchase things online. A lot of people prefer not to because they don’t trust their information being online, and it’s not a site that most people have heard of. They are probably going with BB&B to be safe and I think because you have an older crowd that a bunch of them might not be that comfortable with the internet as well.
Either way, super exciting that your bridal shower is so close. Have a great time!

I am a registry stalker too…and I never thought I would be! I wanted to be suprised at my bridal shower and registry gifts, but now I can’t help myself from looking!
The other thing that I like to check on though (excuses excuses) is that I find a lot of things becoming dicontinued due to being seasonal items or no longer being available online. I like to make sure that I have back up items if possible!

It’s good to stalk a little! You want to make sure you aren’t running out of items on your registry or making sure there are still things available at certain prices (not just the really expensive things or whatever). Plus, I have noticed the discontinued thing come up as well too!

“Registry Stalking” — yes! That’s exactly what it is!
We registered right before Christmas (silly kids) so a few of the things we really loved are no longer available. The funny thing, though, is that we truly loved the drinkware we picked out. It was discontinued at C&B, so I went on the hunt for some new one. But by the time I was out looking, the fun of registering was totally over (since that was months ago) and I found myself totally not even caring at this point, since I have about ONE MILLION wedding details that are way more important than some glass that I’m probably just going to break. Haha…
Still wish i could get those C&B glasses still though…. bummer.

I am a stalker- that is why I did more than one- since we are using a non-traditional one (www.uponourstar.com) it i harder to stalk, so I also set up a couple ones for the completion discounts too- so fun!

I check on mine just to keep track of things that go out of stock or get discontinued. Okay, maybe not *just* for those reasons, but that’s part of it. 🙂

Darling Husband made me promise NOT to look at our registries. It drove me crazy. I wanted to keep them updated, etc – but since I promised, I couldn’t look (he didn’t like me knowing what present was the box that arrived). Stupidest promise I ever made!! 🙂
