I think it’s fine the way it is. I have never bought a gift at a store off of a registry. It’s so easy to do it online these days and I feel like that’s the majority of what people will do. I think with the internet, people are buying (and bringing) gifts in person way less…

I think you are fine.  I registered at Crate and Barrel, but there are no C&B’s in NV.  Only about 5% of the guests are coming from NV.  The rest are all from states that have the store.  I figure a lot of people will just buy stuff online in order to take advantage of the store’s shipping.  Even our grandparents are tech savy.

To be honest, unless it was for a shower, I usually buy my gifts online so I don’t think it matters whether some of your guests are located near a Macy’s!

Most guests who purchased from our registry ordered online, even though both stores were local to all guests.  You’re definitely fine!

Everyone is local to at least one store, right? In that case, you’re totally fine. So far, we’re only doing BB&B, which means that about 1/3 of our guests won’t have a store locally. However, the only way around that is to register at WalMart (they live in the middle of nowhere), and I’m not sure I want to do that.
